Brew Defender started life as a teal Land Rover Defender serving proper coffee around Dundee. What began as a simple idea — great coffee, good views and friendly conversation — quickly grew into something bigger.

My name’s Mark, and I’m the person behind Brew Defender. I’ve always loved the outdoors and the atmosphere of festivals and gatherings where people come together, slow down for a moment, and enjoy the simple things done well. Over the years, working around events and outdoor spaces, I also developed a real appreciation for saunas and the powerful reset they can offer.

After losing my mum, I found myself trying to make sense of life in a way I never expected. For a while, I felt a bit lost in it all. Building Brew Defender, and now Brew Defender Reset, have both been part of finding myself again - through fresh air, great coffee, warmth, good conversation, and creating a space where people can step away from the noise and reconnect with themselves.

Along the way it became clear that people weren’t just stopping at Brew Defender for coffee. They were stopping to pause, chat, breathe for a moment, and reset before heading back into their day.

Brew Defender Reset grew naturally from that idea.

Set beside the waterfront at the Newport Inn overlooking the River Tay, Brew Defender Reset is about slowing things down. Move between the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge, warm up beside the fire pit, and finish with a Brew Defender coffee while the world carries on around you.

No phones. No rush. No pressure.

Just a proper reset.

And in many ways, Brew Defender Reset is about something else too — new chapters and fresh starts. Sometimes life throws things at us that make us stop, rethink, and begin again. This space is about stepping away for a moment, clearing your head, and returning to the world feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.
